Shefa Moten, Class of 2011.
Science has one of Shefa's biggest interest since she was very young, which led her to get involved in science research.  Instead of satiating her hunger for knowledge, her childhood experiences with science research further stimulated her dream to create the future and led her to further question the world around her.   Shefa submitted her research to the journal Advanced Materials, and she also presented it at the Annual Life Science Conference.  She also volunteers with the World Aid Organization and is a writer for their newsletter.  In addition, Shefa is a math tutor, and she is involved in the Robotics Lego League.  She also is a hospital volunteer.  One of her biggest strengths is her flexibility to handle change. As a customer service manager at her last job, she was able to turn around a negative working environment and develop a very supportive team.  As the founder and director of ScienceDays at Clear Creek High School, Shefa intends on getting the help of other high schools in the district, as well as inviting speakers from the nearby NASA headquarters for the participating students.
