International Journey Space Conference - Powered by Science Days

IJSC 2026 is part of the global Science Days Initiative — recognized as the largest U.S.-based Space & STEAM mobile event outside of the United States — inspiring thousands of students and educators through immersive experiences in science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics, and space exploration.

The International Journey Space Conference (IJSC) was created with one bold mission:

To inspire middle and high school students to dream bigger, think like scientists, and become active creators of the future of space exploration.

At IJSC, students are not just spectators: They become protagonists.

For many participants, this will be the first time presenting a scientific project or experiment to a public audience, sharing ideas with researchers, scientists, educators, and space industry professionals. Through this unique experience, students gain confidence, develop critical thinking skills, and discover that their ideas can truly make a difference.

The conference encourages students and educators to develop innovative science projects and experiments connected to real-world challenges in space exploration. Participants engage directly with scientists and space professionals who mentor and guide them throughout the experience in areas including:

🛰️ Microgravity research
🧬 Space medicine & biotechnology
🌱 Life sciences in space
🚀 Human deep-space exploration
🔬 STEM innovation & emerging technologies

IJSC also opens doors for students to explore how scientific experiments can one day become part of future spaceflight opportunities and microgravity missions.

Hosted at the iconic Center for Space Education, adjacent to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, the event creates an immersive environment where students interact directly with scientists, astronauts, engineers, researchers, universities, and New Space professionals.

Born from a Shared Vision for Space Education

The International Journey Space Conference was inspired by the success and educational impact of Science Days and the International Journey Spaceflight Experiments Program (IJSEP) and has evolved into a broader international initiative through collaboration with partner organizations committed to advancing STEM and Space education.

Combining the spirit of student-driven scientific discovery with the support of educational institutions, scientists, universities, and industry collaborators, IJSC was created to expand opportunities for students to showcase research, connect with the global space community, and experience the excitement of real-world space science and innovation.

This collaborative approach helps create a truly international environment where young minds are encouraged to think boldly, explore fearlessly, and develop projects that may one day contribute to future space missions and scientific breakthroughs.

 What Makes IJSC Unique?

At IJSC, students experience what it feels like to become part of the global space community.

Participants will:

✅ Meet scientists and space professionals
✅ Engage in hands-on STEM & Space activities
✅ Explore the future of the New Space Economy
✅ Discover academic and career pathways in STEM
✅ Participate in guided educational experiences led by the KSCIA team at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex
✅ Build international friendships and collaborations

For many students and teachers, IJSC represents a life-changing moment — the first step toward becoming future scientists, engineers, researchers, astronauts, and innovators.

More Than a Conference

IJSC is more than an educational event.

It is a platform designed to empower youth, expand access to space education, and help students realize that science and space exploration are within their reach.

By bringing together schools, universities, scientists, and industry leaders from around the world, IJSC creates a powerful ecosystem where curiosity, innovation, and inspiration thrive.

The future of space exploration begins with students bold enough to imagine it.
