​The purpose of Science Days (SD) is to excite the world's youth about space exploration and STEAM endeavors.

​Science Days provides students, educators and their families  the opportunity to explore the world of science, and in particular space exploration, for free at our global events. 

Understanding space is one of the best ways to help both young and old appreciate science, and the role it plays in our lives and in understanding our universe.

Stephanie Wood

Director of Admissions at Farragut Academy ​ 

Ms. Wood is representing Admiral Farragut Academy since 2015 and prior to Farragut she was an Admissions Associate at the University of Tampa. She studied at Florida State University and earned a BS in Family and Child Sciences. Having the opportunity to represent Admiral Farragut Academy and share the core values, the global culture and world class academics are just a few reasons why she love sharing the opportunities that await students of all ages. 

Israel Treptow

Executive Director at Embry-Riddle University 

Israel has worked as an airline pilot flying ATR and Airbus aircraft models in different countries around the world. He worked as a certified flight instructor/examiner and was the head of the Safety department of a major flight school in Brazil. Israel holds a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Science, a certificate for graduate studies in B. A. and a Master of Science in Aeronautics with Embry-Riddle.  He is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs and strategic plans of the organization and partnerships in Central and South America.​

Dr. Simone Fuchter 

PhD Researcher in Systems Engineering

Speaker at the Johnson Space Center / NASA Houston 2018 Community of Virtual and Augmented Reality Practices. Certified as a Private Pilot by Air by the Aeroclube of SC. Dr. Dr. Fuchter is an advisor in the field of AR (Augmented Reality) for KSC International Space Academy, Space Camp Journey to Mars and Science Days.

Dr. Kumar Krishen 

Senior Scientist 

Dr. Krishen has served as Chief Technologist for Johnson Space Center (JSC) and represented JSC as the Principal Technologist on the NASA Council on Science and Technology. He holds the appointment of Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston, and Honorary Distinguished Professor at the Amity University Haryana. Dr. Krishen is the recipient of many awards and honors from universities, industry, including the NASA Exceptional Service Medal. ​

Letícia Schmitz 

Assistant Director of Operations na Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University

Leticia has a degree in Financial Management, an MBA degree in Finance, Investments and Banking, and is pursuing a degree in Logistics with Embry-Riddle. She has experience in finance and customer relationship working in credit cooperative and insurance offices.  Leticia is responsible for the operations and recruitment of ERAU Central & South America.​

Dr. José Ricardo Muniz Ferreira

R-CRIO STEM CELL 

PhD at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo, Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology. Member of the International Society for Stem Cell Studies (ISSCR), Member of the International Society for Cellular Therapy (ISCT), Member of the Commission on Regenerative Dentistry by the São Paulo Regional Council (CROSP), Founding Member of the Brazilian Society of Cell Therapy (SOBRACEL), Founder, Researcher and CEO of the Company R-Crio Criogenia S.A.​

Jonna Ocampo​ (TBC)

M.S. Medical Sciences, Molecular Medicine Concentration 

Chief Science Officer and Founder of CD-SEAS Mission Microgravity. Biomedical experiment manifested for Citizens in Space future suborbital flight. Designed and operated a scientific mission on Lemur-Greenberg-2 Satellite orbiting the Earth. Credited for the discovery of five paleontology finds dating back to 5 million years ago. Awarded the NASA Florida Space Grant Consortium Fellowship, August 2018. ​

Gabe Gabrielle 

To Infinity and Beyond

Formerly employed by AECOM under the Institutional Service - Contract as an Engineer II for Kennedy Space Center/NASA.  With the position as a facility programmer, he had access to everything on Kennedy Space Center. Gabrielle experienced over 75 Shuttle launches and even the landings.

Darcton Damiao 

Vaya Space VP of Latin American Operations

Damião was Undersecretary to the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), and previously served as Director of the Brazilian National Institute of Space Research (INPE).  Prior to Brazilian government service, Damião also held several corporate executive positions in private industry, notably as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Vale Energy Solution

Aline Veloso

Brazilian Space Agency 

Aline, é Coordenadora de Desenvolvimento de Competências e Tecnologia da AEB (Agência Espacial Brasileira).  Atualmente coordena o programa visa estimular a participação de estudantes, professores, cientistas e cidadãos de todo o mundo em coletas de dados ambientais e estudos científicos, contribuindo para a compreensão do meio ambiente nas escalas local, regional e global.

Jose Carlos "JC" Filho 

KSCIA International  Space Academy

"JC” is a space exploration enthusiast and educator by nature. Currently holds the position of Country Manager - Latin America at the KSCIA-International Space Academy, developing and coordinating educational programs around the world focusing on "STEAM" and "Space Education", inspiring and motivating our youth to pursue the areas of Science and Technology as a career and life change possibility.”

Patricia Feingold 

Maxar Space 

Patricia is an experienced professional within the proliferated LEO "New Space" marketplace, and over 20 years of experience in simulation and software design, particularly in the area of controls algorithms implementation for power system applications.

Dr. Thais Russomano 

Innova Space, England 

Prof.  Russomano graduated in medicine and specialized in internal medicine. She also has a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Medicine - Wright State University and a PhD in Space Physiology - King's College London. She was a Space Scientist at the Institute of Aerospace Medicine, German Aerospace Centre (DLR) in Germany, before founding the Microgravity Centre (PUCRS) a unique international reference centre in the study of human space physiology and space biomedical engineering. 

Dr. Gary Stutte (TBC)

SyNRGE, LLC - Exploration Park, Florida

Dr. Gary Stutte led research at NASA’s John F. Kennedy Space to develop safe, sustainable food production systems for long duration space missions to Moon, Mars and Beyond.   He has published widely on effects of growth conditions on the nutritional effects of crops grown in closed environments.

We believe every child has valuable strengths and a true ability to improve the world.  But to do so, they must first understand the huge impact STEAM has in their everyday lives, and then develop STEAM skills and put them to work.  Therefore, it is our vision to be the world’s largest hands-on mobile event exciting the next generation about space & STEAM endeavors.
